Park Reservations
As of January 2024, Disney World in Florida no longer requires park reservations for most guests with date-based tickets, which are the standard option for most visitors. However, park reservations are still required for Annual Passholders and guests with non-dated tickets during certain busy times.
For Disneyland in California, park reservations are still required for all guests, regardless of ticket type, as of now.
It’s always a good idea to check Disney’s official website for the latest updates, as policies can change.
Parking
Disney World (Florida)
- Theme Park Parking:
- Standard Parking: $30 per day for cars and motorcycles.
- Preferred Parking: $45 to $55 per day, depending on the season and date of visit. This gets you closer to the park entrance.
- Oversized Vehicles: $35 per day for RVs, trailers, and buses.
Once you pay for parking, it covers all four theme parks for that day, so you can move between parks without paying again.
- Disney Resort Guests: If you’re staying at a Disney Resort, you get free standard parking at the theme parks.
- Disney Springs: Free parking is available at Disney Springs, Disney’s shopping and dining area.
Disneyland (California)
- Theme Park Parking:
- Standard Parking: $35 per day for cars and motorcycles.
- Preferred Parking: $55 per day for closer parking spots.
- Oversized Vehicles: $40 per day for RVs, trailers, and buses.
Downtown Disney (Disneyland’s shopping area): Free parking is not available, but you can get validated parking with certain purchases. See here for further information.
Tip: Shuttles and trams are available from most parking lots to the park entrances, so even if you park farther away, you won’t have to walk too far!

- Two quick-service (counter-service) meals per day.
- One snack or non-alcoholic drink per day.
- One refillable resort mug for unlimited soft drinks at resort hotels.

Both plans offer flexibility in how you use meal credits throughout your stay, and unused credits can roll over until midnight on the day you check out.
What’s Not Included?
- The dining plan does not cover gratuities or alcoholic beverages (except certain table-service drinks).
- It also does not include special dining events like dessert parties or private dining.
Disneyland (California)
As of 2024, Disneyland in California does not offer a dining plan like Disney World. Guests can still enjoy plenty of dining options at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, but meals are paid for out-of-pocket.
Note: Dining plans and policies may change over time, so it’s always a good idea to check the official Disney website for updates or inquire when booking your vacation.
