What you’ll need:
- 2 1/2 Cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 10 tablespoons (1 1/4 stick butter) softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 12-ounce bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Step 1
Preheat oven to 330 degrees
Step 2
Sift flour, baking soda, and salt into a large bowl and set aside
Step 3
Combine butter, brown sugar, and powdered sugar in a separate bowl and mix with a mixer until fluffy. Seriously, make sure it’s fluffy. If you think you mixed it well enough, mix it for 2 more minutes.
Step 4
While you’re mixing, add eggs one at a time then add vanilla and mix until combined, scraping side of bowl.
Step 5
Slowly add the flour mixture, scraping the sides of the bowl
Step 6
Once the flour is combined with the butter and sugar mixture, stir in chocolate chips
Step 7
Scoop 2 tablespoons of mix onto a baking sheet. Optional – You can sprinkle each cookie with Coarse Sea Salt if you’d like
Step 8
Bake until golden brown, 12 to 13 minutes. Times vary by oven.
Enjoy!
Our Story
While we’ve never actually HAD the cookies from the Grand Floridian (We feel like Country Coming to Town when we step foot inside the Grand Floridian!), we found this recipe on Disney Parks Blog and tried it. It’s by far the best cookie recipe we’ve tasted!
Delicious, chewy and crispy at the same time. Kids and adults will love them!
