What you’ll need:
- Belgian Waffle mix of your choice (we use Krusteaz Belgian Waffle Mix)
- Disney Mickey Waffle Maker
- Cooking spray
Step 1
Prepare waffle mix per the instructions on the box. I typically add a teaspoon to a teaspoon and a half of vanilla extract to enhance the flavor. Mix well.
Step 2
Heat your waffle iron and spray with cooking spray so your waffles don’t stick.
Step 3
When filling your Mickey-shaped waffle molds, make sure you fill them enough. It’s okay if you overfill because the waffles will only “stick” together. When you remove them, they’ll all be connected. You can simply let them cool and break them apart.
Extras
If you do overfill in Step 3 and have to break your waffles apart, be sure to have the “extra” pieces, they typically crunch and are EXCELLENT as an ice cream topping or even just to snack on as a “Chef’s Special/Treat”.
Our Story
I know for this recipe you have to buy a waffle maker that is Mickey-shaped, but I love my kid’s excitement when I make them. My 15-year-old even gets a little glimmer in his eye and has a smile when he sees them. It’s worth the money, especially if you have kids.
Pair these with some scrambled eggs and bacon and make some POG juice and you’re really, really close to having a Disney Breakfast!
Enjoy!
